Thomas’s presentation will explain the makeup of a Trauma center/program and how the Level II Trauma Center at Broward Health North operates. In addition he will share lessons learned in treating victims of the recent shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.
Thomas Ellison is a registered nurse, graduating from the Mid-Trent College Nottingham in Nursing and Critical Care. He is currently the Trauma Program Manager at Broward Health North. His clinical background also includes being the Administrator in Charge of a 1500-bedded hospital, at the prestigious Ryder Trauma Center.
