BURNING DOWN THE BREAKERS
As late season visitors promenaded on the Breakers Pier, smoke rose ominously from Henry Flagler’s great oceanfront hotel. To the shock of all, the wooden hotel with clapboard siding and cypress roof shingles was on fire – again.

This wasn’t the first fire to consume the Breakers. What caused it? Who was there? With Mr. Flagler gone for over a decade would a new Breakers arise from the ashes?
