Youth Leadership
The Rotary Club of Ft. Lauderdale/Cypress Creek believes that strong communities are built by developing the next generation of leaders.
Through Rotary youth programs, students gain opportunities to build leadership skills, serve their communities, and develop confidence that prepares them for future success.
These experiences encourage young people to discover their potential while learning the importance of Service Above Self.
Interact Clubs
Interact is Rotary’s service club for students ages 12–18.
Interact clubs are student-led organizations that encourage young people to take initiative, work together, and make a positive impact in their communities.
Students participate in activities such as:
Interact helps students learn the value of leadership through service while building friendships and community connections.
organizing community service projects
volunteering locally
fundraising for charitable causes
developing teamwork and leadership skills
Through both local and global efforts, Rotary continues to create meaningful and lasting impact.
Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA)
RYLA Leadership Program
The Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) program is a leadership development experience designed to help young people discover their potential as leaders.
Students selected to attend RYLA participate in leadership workshops, team-building activities, and discussions that challenge them to think critically about leadership and service.
Many participants describe RYLA as a transformative experience that inspires them to take on leadership roles in school and their communities.
Supporting Young Leaders
Members of the Rotary Club of Ft. Lauderdale/Cypress Creek support youth leadership by:
sponsoring students to attend RYLA
mentoring and supporting Interact clubs
encouraging student involvement in community service
These initiatives help young people gain the skills and confidence needed to become future leaders.
